Please keep the following graduation information in mind when choosing courses:

• Three types of diplomas will be offered: the Academic Diploma, the College Preparatory Diploma, and the Distinguished Diploma.

• In order to graduate from CCS, 27 credits, including one credit of Bible for each year of attendance at CCS, are required.  The Recommended College Prep and Distinguished College Prep Diploma require additional credits.  Starting with the class of 2011, the school will require four (4) science and math credits and 28 total credits to graduate.

• One-half (1/2) credit is given for each semester of a course passed.

• No more than one and a half credits of PE may be counted toward graduation.

• Community Service Requirement:  10 hours per semester for each semester of attendance at CCS.  This requirement is Pass/Fail.  Therefore, if the student does not complete these hours, he/she will fail the community service requirement for that semester.  The community service will be noted on the student’s transcript.

• A “Modified” Academic Diploma will be issued to any student who has received any modifications to the standard academic program.  The modifications must be established in writing by the Huff Learning Center personnel and approved by the student, parents, learning center teacher, secondary principal, and headmaster.

CCS facilitates special teacher-to-student and student-to-student bonds while supporting a full range of classes and activities. Because most secondary students participate in several activities, friendships cut across grade levels. This close knit aspect of our middle school and high school promotes unity among secondary students. The faculty promotes personal and educational self-responsibility, knowing that freedom and the respect underlying it, are valuable in preparing students for college and the adult world.
