College Prep at CCS
At CCS, preparation for college begins as early as sixth grade. Students entering middle school actively begin their journey toward higher education. Our CCS Academic Advisor partners with parents, students, and teacher to guide students throughout their secondary years at CCS.

Future Freshmen Meeting - May 11, 2010 at 7:00 p.m.
Highly Recommended for all 2010-2011 ninth grade students
(Please note that the date for this meeting was changed from May 4 to May 11.)
Academic Advisor Shannon Strange highly recommends that all 2010-2011 ninth grade students and parents (both current and prospective CCS students) attend this important meeting. Students and parents will meet teachers and administrators and will be given information about high school courses, extracurricular activities, and much more.
Curriculum and Diplomas
If your student plans to go to a four-year college, a junior college, or technical school, he/she must include all of the Recommended College Preparatory courses during the four years in high school. The Recommended College Prep course plan reflects the minimum college requirements.
Check the admission requirements of the colleges your student is interested in attending. You can do this by calling the Admissions Office at those schools or visiting their websites.
If your student wants to be a student of distinction or be in competition for valedictorian, there are additional advanced courses required. Please download the following document for more information about high school curriculum and diplomas offered:
